Remedial & Sports Massage
Remedial Massage is very effective in the treatment of many conditions. It is deep tissue massage that removes blockages and damaged cells left after injury, speeding up recovery and healing. In combination with mobilisation, massage assists return to optimal health.
It is also used to treat chronic conditions, for example arthritis or curvature of the spine where massage helps to manage the condition and enables the sufferer to lead an active life.
Many people use massage treatments on a regular basis as a preventative measure to keep their bodies toned for maximum health. Those who are involved in sporting activities use it to ensure that their muscles are looked after so that they can perform well. Older people use it to remain fit and mobile.

I have always been a keen sportswoman, representing Mid-Hampshire County in athletics and netball at school level. By the age of 19 I had represented my county netball team for several years and was selected at the All England trials to play for the under-21 squad.
Unfortunately a serious knee injury curtailed my sporting career, however this personal experience gives me special empathy with my patients. Fully understanding their needs while combating the rigors of maintaining physical fitness and condition.
I trained with the London School of Sports Massage which is based in Regents College, London. The diploma course has provided the professional skill and knowledge necessary to work within the health care profession.
Training is of the highest standards in both the theoretical study of anatomy and physiology as well as the practical art of Massage, along with the various techniques used in conjunction with it. I graduated with Honours in 1997.
Since qualifying I have treated a wide range of sports men and women, from professional footballers, to golfers, tennis players and many county netballers.
Treatments are held at my home based clinic in South Oxfordshire. Home visits are available by special arrangement, prices available on request.
